The 20 ounce plastic bowl is made from a food grade polypropylene material. Polypropylene has a molecular structure that does not allow bacteria to imbed into the plastic and grow; this allows for a cleaner eating and drinking environment.
In the event the polypropylene bowls are chewed on, the material is designed to crumble and not create sharp edges.
